DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

Measure pH of pool water with suitable test kit.

If pH is below 7.2, add pH Plus at the rate of 1 lb. per 10,000 gallons of pool water.

Dissolve pH Plus in a bucket of water, mix thoroughly, and pour solution into the pool while walking along the perimeter. Allow the water to recirculate for two to three hours, recheck pH, and repeat treatment as necessary until pH is between 7.4 and 7.6. Do not add more than 4 lbs. of pH Plus per 10,000 gallons at any one time.

GENERAL INFORMATION

pH Plus is used to raise the pH of pool water to an ideal level. The pH of your pool should be maintained at 7.4 – 7.6 for optimum chlorine activity and best water quality. The ideal pH for plaster pools is 7.4, and for vinyl liner, fiberglass, and painted pools, the ideal pH is 7.6. A proper pH level is one of the most important factors in the maintenance of your pool. A low pH may cause eye irritation, lead to corrosion of metal fixtures in equipment such as pumps, filters, and heaters thereby causing stains on pool surfaces, and other problems. An accurate test should always be performed on a regular basis to measure the pH of your pool water.

NOTE:

If the pH of the pool water has been below 7.2 for an extended period of time, dissolved metal from pool equipment may cause staining of pool surface or discoloration of water as pH is raised. Test pool water for copper and iron before proceeding further.
