RECTIONS FOR D.E. AND CARTRIDGE FILTERS:

Using a clean spray bottle with full strength product, evenly coat elements or cartridge. Wait 10 minutes; then using garden hose, thoroughly rinse for 5 minutes, OR using a large clean plastic bucket soak for 1 hour in one part of this product to three parts water.

DIRECTIONS FOR SAND FILTER:

Backwash filter thoroughly. Turn pump off. Pour Filter Cleaner into skimmer basket. Chlorine must be removed from the skimmer basket prior to addition of this product. Automatic feeder should be turned off prior to any addition of this product. See chart for exact amount of this product to be used. Turn pump on until pump primes and product moves into filter. Leave filter selector in backwash position or in closed position. Wait one hour. Turn pump on with selector in backwash position, until backwash waste water is clear. If filter has not been degreased within 12 months, use double the amount of this product, or 1 cup per 100 lb. of sand.

MAINTENANCE USAGE:

Pour 8 ounces of Filter Cleaner into skimmer while backwashing filter. Chlorine must be removed from this skimmer basket prior to addition of Filter Cleaner. Automatic feeder should be turned off prior to any addition of this product. For maximum filter performance, it is recommended to be done at each backwashing.
